Welcome aboard! Whether this is your first sailing or your tenth, CruisePortIQ is your smart companion for every port of call.

⚡ Quick Start (One‑Minute Guide)

• Find a Port → Open Search (magnifying glass), type a couple of letters, pick from suggestions.
• Explore a Port → All tabs are available to browse online – you can use your finger to slide the tab heading left and right to view all tabs.

🔍 Port Search

• Search by port name, country, or region.
• Autocomplete suggestions as you type (2+ characters).
• Your recent searches are saved automatically.
• You can always open and browse full port pages online.

📍 Exploring Ports

When you search for a port you will see a series of headings at the top of the screen – e.g. Port Info, Things To Do, Food & Drink etc. We refer to these as “Tabs” in this help file.

All information tabs are visible for everyone when browsing online, but depending on the device you are using they may be off-screen – use your finger to slide tabs back and forward to bring them into view.

♥️ Favorites or “Faves”

• Free: You can save up to 5 total favorites across all ports (things to do, restaurants, hotels, Banks/ATMs, medical, transport, police).
• Premium: Premium users can save unlimited faves.

How it works:

• Tap the heart on a card to save. The heart becomes red when saved.
• Find everything in the Faves tab (shown as a heart in the menu at the bottom of the screen), grouped by port.
• Tap a fave to open details or jump to the full port guide.

🔖 Offline Ports (Premium only)

Download complete guides for no‑Wi‑Fi days at sea and in port.

How to Save a port offline

1. Open any port.
2. Tap the bookmark icon in the header.
3. Confirm Save Offline.
4. The bookmark icon turns solid when the download finishes.

How to Remove or Delete a port from your offline storage

1. Tap the Main Search Menu option at the bottom of the screen
2. Tap the Saved Offline button just below the search area.
3. Tap the Port that you want to delete from offline storage.
4. Once it opens click on the bookmark icon in the top right of page.
5. Once you confirm that you want to delete the port from offline storage The bookmark icon changes from solid to clear confirming that the port is no longer saved offline.

What’s included offline: Port Info, Things To Do, Food & Drink, Hotels, Banks & ATMs, Medical, Police, Transport, plus saved Weather conditions.

🛳 My Cruises

• Free: Add 1 upcoming cruise (with countdown).
• Premium: Add unlimited cruises—great for back‑to‑back sailings and past cruise logs.

IMPORTANT NOTE

Currently, adding cruises is a manual process. This gives you the ability to link your cruise directly to port info. Automation is not available at this time.

Setup steps:

1. Tap on the Cruise Line → Then Tap on the Ship
2. Enter Your Start Date (future or you can also add past cruises)
3. Add daily stops by tapping on the : Departure, Port Name, or Sea Day labels
4. You can also add an optional description

💡 Tips & Best Practices

• Download ports on strong Wi‑Fi before you sail. (Premium)
• Use Faves to shortlist lunch spots and must‑do tours.
• Check Weather to pack smart.
• Use the Port Info tab to find out the easiest way to get from ship to city center.
• Clean up storage after your trip by removing old offline ports, by clicking on the Bookmark icon again. (Premium)

🔧 Troubleshooting

• No search results? Try a broader term (country/region) or check your port spelling.
• Download failed? Check Wi‑Fi and storage, then retry. (Premium feature)
• Faves missing? Favorites are stored on your device; however, if you delete and reinstall the app you would need to add them back to your Faves.
• Slow or glitchy? Restart the app and update to the latest version.
• Premium Features Not Working? Select a premium feature like the Bookmark icon in the Port Guide and follow the prompt to upgrade – when the main screen appears showing all the features, select the Restore Purchases option at the bottom of the page, then close the pop-up by hitting the X button

🔒 Your Data

We keep it simple: your favorites, cruises, offline ports, and search history are stored on your device. We don’t send your personal data to our servers.

You’re in control:

• Clear search history
• Remove favorites (per item or per port)
• Delete offline ports (Premium)
• Uninstall to remove all local data

🔒 How to Delete Your Account

If you no longer wish to use CruisePortIQ, you can permanently delete your account and all personal data stored in the app.
• Tap on the Profile option at the bottom of the screen
• Scroll down the screen until you see the Delete Account button
• Confirm when prompted

When you delete your account:
• All of your saved ports, itineraries, and favorites will be permanently removed.
• Your CruisePortIQ account and login details will be deleted.

Once deleted, your data cannot be restored. You’re always welcome to register again and create a new account in the future.
