Best Cruise Magnetic Hooks for your Cruise Cabin: Seas the Day with Superior Storage!

Last Update:

Cruising is a wonderful way to spend your vacation, visiting various destinations, relaxing on the ship, and enjoying all the onboard amenities. Among daily necessities in a cruise cabin, organization is crucial, and that’s where magnetic hooks come in.  So in this cruise tips article, we are going to find you the best cruise magnetic hooks.

These handy little tools can help you keep items like clothing, bags, and accessories conveniently in reach while freeing up valuable space on your cruise vacation.

Magnetic hooks specifically designed for cruise ships offer an easy solution for managing your belongings in a small, shared space. These hooks attach themselves securely to the metallic walls and doors, providing you with versatile storage options, and making it easier to organize your room throughout your trip.

When selecting the best cruise magnetic hooks, it’s essential to consider factors such as weight capacity, size, and the type of magnet used. Stronger magnets ensure secure attachment and hold heavier items, while a smaller sizing allows for versatility in placement throughout your cabin. Ensuring these hooks are safe and reliable will make sure all your belongings stay on the hook and not on the floor.

Remember that you are dealing with magnets. When two very strong magnets are close together be careful as if you catch your fingers your skin can get pinched. Watch the kids as well and always use extreme caution when magnets are close together.

To help you prepare for your next cruise, we’ve researched and tested a variety of the best magnetic hooks for cruise staterooms in our lab. Okay, I may have made the bit about the “lab” up.  Actually, we just stuck each of them on our cruise cabin wall and pulled them off again, and hung things from them.  Surprisingly, there are a few things you need to be aware of with these handy little gadgets. So let’s begin.

Best Cruise Magnetic Hooks Review

Okay if you browse Amazon for the best magnetic hooks or search for “cruise ship magnetic hooks”, you’ll be faced with a page of around 20 magnet hooks that all look very very similar.  So we’ve narrowed it down and will compare the top three.

All of them take up very little space in your luggage, have decent capacity limits and when you get back home they are also great in the kitchen as well.

Neosmuk Magnetic Hooks 27lb+ Capacity (Pack of 10)

These were fine for hanging up everything from towels to accessories without worry. But for heavier items, they weren’t so good.

The size and thickness of the hooks were smaller than we expected, and they slid a bit when hanging heavier items. Make sure to test the hooks in various positions before relying on them to hold your items securely.

Multi-Colors Available!

4.5
$7.80 ($0.78 / Count)

These Neosmuk Magnetic Hooks were almost our favorites. And for one good reason. They come in different colors! Yay! As well as the standard boring silver color, they also have black, bronze, gold, green, navy blue, purple, red and white. Points off for no pink though!

Pros:
  • Decent magnet strength, but you might need stronger on an Alaska cruise with heavy coats
  • High-quality, rust-free plating
  • Lots of color choices
Cons:
  • May slide when used with heavier items
  • Size and hook were smaller in size than I expected
  • No pink!

MIKEDE Magnetic Hooks – 80lb Capacity (Pack of 10)

Despite the lack of color, these were much better than the first magnets we tried. Although, once on the cabin wall they were really quite hard to get off.

But amazingly, even though they were strong, they still slid a little if you hang something heavier on them. It turns out they are stronger hanging from the ceiling than they are from the wall. Who knew?

Small Magnetic Hooks, 80 Lbs Heavy Duty (Pack of 10)
3.5
$12.99 ($1.30 / Count)

These are very heavy-duty and very sturdy, holding up to 80lbs in weight. But the hooks are a little small in size.

Pros:
  • Super powerful magnet with over 80lbs of force
  • Rustproof coating
  • At maximum when hung from the ceiling of the stateroom
Cons:
  • Wall hanging reduces magnet strength by 2/3 than the stated capacity
  • Much harder to remove from the cabin wall surfaces
  • Hooks were smaller than expected

Buying Guide – Magnetic Hooks for Cruise Cabins

Now how can I write a buying guide for magnetic hooks? Well, you’d be surprised about how much detail we can get into with magnetic hooks.

First things first, when it comes to magnets for cruise ship walls, size matters. You’ll want to consider the size of the hook itself, as well as the magnet’s strength. The size should be appropriate for the items you plan to hang, and the magnet should be strong enough to hold them. Too small and you might find your belongings in an unruly pile on the floor. Too big, and you may as well be hanging anchor!

Next up: material. You want a hook that’s durable and rust-resistant, especially if it’s going to be in a humid environment (hello, ocean air). Think good-quality stainless steel  – that’s right, no cheap knockoffs. Your precious towels and clothes will thank you.

Finally, let’s talk price. You shouldn’t have to break the bank for a simple magnetic hook, but don’t be a Scrooge, either. Quality materials often come at a slightly higher cost, but it’s worth it in the long run. Remember, you get what you pay for – a few extra dollars for a durable, stylish hook is worth it.

And there you have it – your trusty buying guide to finding the best cruise magnetic hooks.

Should You Buy Magnetic Hooks For Your Cruise?
